Air In a Can Compressed Air Duster Cleaner 400ml

Air In a Can Compressed Air Duster Cleaner 400ml

This dvd laser lens cleaner is excellent. It has a choice of several langauages. I first found the need to use it when my PC would start to play cd/dvd discs but then it would stop completely during play for no apparent reason. I thought that i'd better use the dvd lens cleaner that i had previously purchased. I put the dvd lens cleaner in the PCs disc tray, loaded it & you can select your language the begin the cleaning process. Once the process had finished i played a cd to the end and it never stopped once! I have never had any other problems since i cleaned the laser lens!

Kenro Kenair Air Duster and Dust Vac Kit KENR012

Kenro Kenair Air Duster and Dust Vac Kit KENR012

First off, the item arrived as described, with all of the bits in the box. Having used the Kenair air duster system before, I had developed faith in the brand and found it useful in blasting dust away from my camera parts and from the interior of my computer. (Do bear in mind the advice to blast a bit of air through the nozzle first to clear any debris that might be there, and to keep the can upright in use, otherwise you can get misting). Little particles had begun to be seen through the viewfinder that air dusting had not been able to remove, so I decided to try this vacuum system to try to shift them.

Clearly it is irrational to expect outrageously powerful suction from a product of this type, and anything too powerful would potentially damage delicate parts, but having used this I can report that the viewfinder does now appear visibly cleaner although it has not removed every particle in the first couple of sweeps. So, I am pleased and I would generally endorse this product.

The reason for four stars rather than five? Firstly I was disappointed that I was unable to buy the dust vac attachment as a standalone item, having already purchased the dust vac kit, making the purchase relatively expensive (although still worthwhile). Secondly, the polyurethane tube itself is stiff and fairly inflexible in tight places (the inside of my camera), which made it difficult to maximize the suction potential of the attached end by keeping it fully in contact with the surface being vacuumed. A more flexible and therefore direct able end to the tubing would improve the product and make it very hard to beat. Thirdly, the soft rubbery housing that fits the tube (in the way that a brush attachment fits a regular vacuum cleaner)is itself flat ended by design; it is gentle in contact with delicate parts, but difficult to keep in sealed contact with the surface being cleaned in order to maximize suction.

To sum up, I am pleased with my purchase, and am confident that it will help me to do basic maintenance tasks on my camera equipment.

Cable Matters - 3m Mini DisplayPort Male to HDMI Male Cable with Audio Transmission in White

Ordered this having spent a little time researching, arrived very quickly and tried it immediately by linking both a Mac Book Air and then Mac Book Pro to our TV. Worked first time once we told the Computer how to transmit picture and sound (In Apple icon choose System Preferences -Choose Mirror Image option in Display icon and then for sound find the TV in the Sound Icon in system preferences and choose the TV as the external source). The great thing about this product with our Macs is the lead transmits both sound and picture meaning no need for additional audio cable. At a fantastic 5m length means that you can sit on the sofa in comfort with your Computer and watch content on your large screen TV. So impressed that Ill be ordering a second one after writing this review.

Compressed Gas Cylinder Safety

Ex-Pro® High Quality Compressed Air Cleaner/ Duster 400ml - 1 Pack

By Steve Lucchesi

Knowing your cylinders when looking to buy a new or used one can be a bit tricky unless you follow these certain guidelines. It's always important to know how many cubic feet the cylinder your interested in really is, also always look at the neck of the cylinder. If the neck has an engraving or verbiage that states it's a rental or has the name of a welding supply company on it, you should avoid buying the cylinder.

Cylinder tanks should be certified every 10 years and there are symbols that help you figure out when the next certification should be. Typically there is a date of last certification and a plus sign, which represents 5 years, also the star symbol which represents another 5 years. If buying a tank and there are no markings on the neck that is a good sign, however a dented or rusted tank or one that has rented on the neck should be avoided.

Once you purchase your cylinder that has a compressed gas you must make sure that the cylinder is clearly identified. Identification should be stenciled or stamped on the cylinder or on a label. If the labeling of the contents of the cylinder becomes unclear you must provide a new label for the cylinder as long as you know the contents. If buying a cylinder and the contents are unknown and the identification is unreadable, return the cylinder and mark "contents unknown".

Gas Cylinders should always be secured, either by bench top, individually to a wall or stored in a cage or cylinder cabinet. Cylinders are dangerous if mishandled with misuse turning a metal standard cylinder into a unguided rocket with no control over the path or destination and could easily go through a brick wall and kill someone with its brutal force.

Cylinder valves should always be opened slowly with oxygen cylinder valves needing to be opened 100% of the way. First you should open the oxygen cylinder valve just a bit, once the needle has stopped moving, than open the valve all the way. Oxygen cylinders should have the valve opened all the way because of the high pressure in the tank.

When the contents of a cylinder are empty, the valve should be closed, the system bled and the regulator removed. At this time the valve cap should be replaced and the cylinder should be marked empty and separated from the other cylinders in use.

Finally, when moving cylinders or transporting them, only one cylinder should be moved at a time and when moving large cylinders make sure you have a proper cylinder cart to ensure stability and safety. These gas cylinder carts or welding carts will ensure mobility and stability with bottles being held by chains with adjustable chain links welded securely to frame. Carts come in various sizes that will handle between 4 to 8 large gas cylinders.

Safety Tips on Compressed Gas Cylinders

Air In a Can Compressed Air Duster Cleaner 400ml

By Lukman Nulhakiem

Compressed gas cylinders have to be handled properly. Otherwise, associated hazards such as fall, fire, explosion or hazardous gas leakage may happen. That is why a safety guide on compressed gas handling is vitally important.

Here are some safety tips on how to handle gas cylinders safely:
1. It should be kept in a special room, fenced and locked.
2. Authorized and trained workers can only have access to the storage room.
3. Protect the cylinders against mechanical damage, by using appropriate racks or other means to hold them securely.
4. When it is not used, valve caps should always be in place.
5. To move the gas cylinders manually use sturdy hand trucks, which can hold one or two.
6. Do not handle them with electromagnets, ropes or slings.
7. Put appropriate label on the cylinders, which describes content and pressure.
8. Do not allow cylinders to direct sunshine or expose to high temperature (more than 52deg of Centigrade).
9. Keep flame away from contact with cylinder surface.
10. Keep flammable materials away from the cylinders.
11. Use suitable piping, valves, fittings and others apparatus for the contained gas and pressure.
12. Make sure we have provided valves, regulators and safety relief devices.
13. Always open cylinder valve slowly to wide-open position.
14. Maintain these cylinders and their accessories in good condition.
15. Never use defective safety relief device and leaked cylinder. Mark it and separate from the good ones.
16. Separate and mark empty cylinders from the stock.
17. Do not accept gas cylinders without clear label and in bad condition.
18. Calculate exactly your consumption. It is unsafe to store many compressed gas cylinders for 1 year consumption.
Compressed gas cylinder is a typical source of hazards found in chemical plants. So take it into account when we will do hazard identification task. And the above safety tips are forms of hazard controls.

Air Purifiers and Computers - A Winning Combination

5 Star Air Duster Can HFC Free Compressed Gas Flammable 400ml [Pack 4]

By Luke Petterson

There are numerous well-known benefits to people when an air purifier is employed. Air becomes easier to breathe, allergens are reduced and impurities are removed from the air.
Beyond the benefits to people that an air purifier can provide, computers will benefit from the presence of an air purifier too.

Lessen the Effects of Dust
The main benefit to computers of an air purifier is the removal of dust from the air. Dust is not a good thing for computers.

As your computer runs, its fans and cooling system will suck air through your computer to keep it cool. If the air in your room is dusty or full of particles, your computer will constantly be pulling dusty air through itself.

The excess dust that is being pulled through your computer will build up over time, causing your computer to be less efficient at cooling itself. This is not a good thing as an overheating computer can have all kinds of problems.

Using an air purifier to remove the dust and other particles from the air in a room in which computers reside will allow your computer to operate more efficiently and will reduce the buildup of dust inside the computer.

Do You Use Gas Dusters Frequently?
A common method of removing dust from the inside of a computer involves using a gas duster. A gas duster is essentially a can of air that can be sprayed on devices. The highly pressurized air blows all the dust off of whatever you are targeting.
If you find yourself needing to use a gas duster to remove dust from your computer on a frequent basis, you should probably consider using an air purifier in your computer room. The fact that you have dust building up frequently inside your computer is a red flag that your air is dusty and full of particles.

Computer Peripherals
In addition to reducing the amount of dust inside your computer, the air purifier will keep excess dust from building up on your computer monitor and inside your keyboard.
You may also have other electronic devices in your office or home that can benefit from pure air such as external hard drives or electronic audio/video equipment.

Overall, the benefits of purifying the air in your office or home can not be denied. You will only need to buy an air purifier that is rated for the size of the room itself, which should not be horribly expensive. The cost of buying the compared to the cost of replacing computer parts that have overheated due to dust buildup should be pretty easy to justify.

Just remember: Dust is an enemy to computers and electronics but it can easily be battled with an air purifier.

Luke Petterson is a long-time computer user and risk taker, which has led him to many interesting computer-related situations, good and bad. Air purification has also become a large part of his life due to allergies.

Air Cans and Compressed Air Help IT and Technicians Extend the Life of Electronics

AF PC Spray Duster Invertible CFC-free Non-flammable 200ml Ref SDU200D
By Chris C Fellows
Cleaning is crucial to maintaining and lengthening the life of clients' electronics. Dust in particular can cause many serious problems for computers and other electronics. Working fans are required to keep a computer cool, but if the vent or fan is covered in too much dust, it can't work properly. This is where air cans filled with compressed air come in. These handy tools can be used for hands-free dusting and are an essential part of computer and electronics maintenance and repair.

Electronics contain delicate parts that require equally delicate cleaning products and techniques. Cleaning a laptop can be a challenge. Compressed air is a great cleaning solution as it can get in all the nooks and crannies to blow the dust out. It can also do so without a clumsy rag or brush.

When cleaning something like a camera using your hands to clean can be tricky because the natural oil and grime that accumulates on even the cleanest hands can ruin parts like the lens. A hands-off approach involving something as gentle yet strong as air is a great solution to this problem.

Computers andkeyboards in particular can benefit from compressed air. Even though we know users shouldn't eat around their computers, we also know that it happens anyway. The cans come packaged with straw-shaped devices that attach to the bottle and allow you to precisely direct the air. With canned air, the keyboard disaster that stray piece of your client's lunch caused can be fixed in no time.

Canned air not "air" at all
Air cans, canned air, air dusters and compressed air are three ways of referring to gas dusters. These products are cans that are filled with compressed air gasses that, when released, shoot out at high speeds. In other words, a more sophisticated and cleaner puff of air than the one you can make with your mouth. The cans are not filled with the air we breathe. Instead they're made of gasses such as difluoroethane. While it's not something you'd want to breathe directly, it's perfect for cleaning dust, grime, dirt, food and more from laptops, DVDs, keyboards, PC computers and any other electronics that come across your desk.

Compressed air can clean laptops, PCs, cameras and more
Compressed air cans help clean and maintain:
Laptops - compressed air will clean laptop fans and parts
PCs - air cans will clean PC fans and electronics
Cameras - compressed gas will clean lenses, camera parts, and buttons
Cell Phones - air cleaning will remove dust from cell phone buttons, screens and lenses
Keyboards - air will clean keyboard keys and buttons, removing dust, grime and food
DVD Players - air cans will clean DVD players for less skipping and better playback
TVs - compressed gas will clean TV screens and inputs
 And More

Best prices for IT help desks on air cans and compressed air
As an expert at repairing electronics, computers and cameras, IT help desks are well aware of the value of having compressed air and air cans around. But buying individual cans of compressed air can be an expensive proposition. That's why buying cases of compressed gas in bulk can be a great way to find the best price on air cans while also saving and extending the life your electronics. Buying in bulk means you'll never be without this crucial tool, and you'll save a lot of money as well.

Dust Will Kill Your Computer

5 Star Air Duster Can HFC Free Compressed Gas Flammable 400ml

By Jason Timmins
I've run a business IT support company for more than twenty years and time-and-again my team visit company's PCs that are crashing and randomly locking-up. More often than not, when we open the machine, we find that it's full of dust. Dust will kill your computer.

Certain components inside your computer run hot; modern CPUs working hard are too hot to touch. A processor that is running too hot will crash (Blue Screen of Death in Windows) or randomly reboot your machine. The dust and lint coats the cooling mechanisms and causes components to overheat. If you want to avoid these problems we recommend taking a look inside your computer every six months to make sure that there not too much dust inside. Here are some things to lookout for...
  1. Check the air vents - Computers breath-in cool air from the front and expel hot air from the back. You need to make sure that these openings are not blocked either by dust or by external obstructions. I once visited a customer to examine their server and found the air intake to be covered in a mat of short brown hairs. I asked the business owner about the hair and whether they bought their dog to work, he said, "Oh, that'll be the rats." I took care of the blocked air vents, they took care of the rats and their server ran much more happily.
  2. Dust the insides - Completely disconnect the machine before you open it. Take the side off and have a look for dust, dead insects, etc and remove them from the machine. Try not to touch the delicate components inside; we find the best tool for cleaning the dust from inside a computer is a can of compressed air (these are often referred to as 'air duster' and can be found from any number of online retailers.) If the machine is particularly dusty (and the weather is fair) you may want to take the computer outside before you use the air duster; a surprising amount of dust will come out so it's better to do the work outside. When using the air duster, pay particular attention to the heatsink (metal fins on top of the motherboard) and the fans that move air around the machine. When using a compressed air duster on the fans, hold the fan still so that it doesn't turn in the jet of air. Some hard drives run hot so make sure they are also free of dust.
  3. Check your fans - Dust will work its way into the bearings of the fans that cool your computer. Make sure that the fans will turn freely, just move their blades with your finger, a fan should turn with very little effort. If the fan won't turn or turns stiffly, it must be replaced. New fans are readily available online but you may wish to find a local expert to do the work for you.
It's our experience that if you do this every six months, you will have a nice, quiet, reliable computer. Many modern computers have protection from overheats so physical damage is often avoided but a regular maintenance routine will ensure that these problems don't occur. Oh, and try not to have rats running around by your computer!
